Quiet Riot <<<>>> Randy Rhoads … a question to fans ?
We all know that an alien called Randy Rhoads was in the band Quiet Riot before he was presented to the world audience in Ozzy’s
band . Now , I have these small time questions to fans of Randy and fans of Quiet Riot :
(I) How in God Almighty’s Name Randy’s talent didn’t make Quiet Riot in a race with let’s say Van Halen in late 70s ?
(II) I have seen the term which I hate “Glam Metal” linked with Quiet Riot under their sound beside Hard Rock / Heavy Metal , so do you believe that their post-Randy’s 80s success was only because they turned into a TV friendly less Rocking band ??
(III) This question is kind of irrelevant , but I want your opinion , so please rearrange this list from #1 as the most real deal Rock band til #7 as the most MTV friendly anti-real deal Rock band :

Motley Crue
Quiet Riot
Accept
Skid Row
Whitesnake (Glam era)
don’t know the history of quiet riot, but i think van halen got huge a few years before quiet riot came onto the scene. perhaps their material just wasn’t that good at the time, regardless of the future guitar god in the band.
(ll) quiet riot’s success, imo, was because they were the pioneers of the hair metal scene and were the only show in town so to speak for a short time until crue, ratt, ect. stole their thunder and made the world forget about them. a lack of good material after “metal health”, and kevin dubrow’s mouth assisted their quick decline.
(lll) opinions are like, well you know, but personally dokken, skid row, whitesnake and crue, as well as others (big ratt fan) rocked my 83 – 90, or so, years.
i think poison, at least at first, fits the bill for the anti real deal, mtv band, although they would go on to do a couple of good songs (something to believe in, ride the wind, imo) later.
