Lawn mower intermittant smoking?
Briggs 14.5 horse, single cylinder, air cooled, OHV, vertical shaft engine. About once every minute or two it looks like a smoke grenade has gone off. The smoking only lasts for half to maybe one full second, but it’s pretty thick white smoke (oil). So thick, that I can’t even see through it. But it only smokes for about a second and then it’s clear. Compression check showed 60 psi. Would this be a problem with the rings or a problem with the valves? Perhaps the ring ends are on top of each other?
I think you have to much oil in the mower. Or you have a leak in the head gasket. I would say you have oil in the gas. Due to a gasket leak.
